Bothy at a Stormy Loch Stack
Loch Stack and Bothy. Detouring off the NC500 for an hour or so the clouds were looking more and more sinister so we abandoned the car, walked across the bog and started photographing.

Passing Rain Clouds
The tide receeds as the rainclouds pass over the distant hills. Huisinis beach in the north Harris hills in late summer. Such clear water reflected the colour of the sky during the occasional appearances of the sun in between the showers. A privilege to take a few hours and observe the changes in colour and light... and a time to huddle under a big umbrella.

A long ago loved boat pulled up on the dunes surrounding a grey and stormy Reiff Beach, Lewis.
Callanish IR
Callanish standing stones are ideally photographed during the transition times of dawn or sunset. We had neither for the 6 days in Harris and Lewis. So time to try something different... An IR shot of these magnificent stones. A peaceful time of silence except for the random mutterings and odd naughty word uttered in response to our accompanying plethora of midges.
Time Passes
Stac a Phris Arch in Lewis. A very foggy start lifted as we got to Callanish Standing Stones to shoot in infrared. Gradually it started to clear so a trudge across the cliffs to this lovely beauty. A long exposure ensured the foam gave a pleasing pattern and a wedging of the body and tripod between rocks kept me safe.
Isolation
The ruined Bothy at Lettermore on moorland leading up towards Ben Loyal, also overlooks Loch Loyal near Tongue.
Layers of Ben More, Assynt.
Late afternoon light falls on the layers of the mountain ranges in the distance facing west, south of Altnaharra. A hand held, long lens shot taken after a fabulous day of exploring and a pint of local brew 😊.
