Feeling of Foreboding
St Aldhelm's Chapel, on a day when the rain clouds were many and the sun's rays punched through providing momentary spotlights across the scene. St Aldhelm's Head marks the southern tip of the Purbeck Peninsula. A circular route takes you along the coastal path past Chapman's Pool via some mighty, undulating terrain with stunning views across the Jurassic Coast.. The Norman Chapel is perched on a cliff 108m above the sea. It stands near a telecommunications station and coastguard terraces.
